In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Caroni distillery (1918 - 2018), the bottler Velier has assembled vintages 2000 to 51.4 (90 proof). This bottle is an almost exact replica of the Caroni intended for the European market in 1940 when the distillery belonged to the Tate & Lyle company.

Composed of a blend of juices Caroni 100% matured in the tropical climate, this rum once again presents very beautiful petrol-like notes, characteristic of the distillery, as well as a rich aromatic palette that takes us on a journey between fruits (ripe banana, dried apricot, redcurrant, exotic fruits), woodiness (honey, vanilla) and spices (camphor, cloves, cinnamon, fresh tobacco) here we are in front of an iconic Caroni to celebrate 100 years of exception.

Caroni

The state-owned Caronidistillery in Trinidad and Tobago closed in 2002. After 84 years of practice, she leaves behind a few column stills, ironing stills and a few barrels that will give birth to the vintages* that we offer.
