The 12 Zaya year-old rum "Gran Reserva" comes from the island of Trinidad (Trinidad and Tobago), located in the Caribbean Sea. This traditional rum is an "out-of-date" spirit, the result of a careful selection of a dozen traditional rums (some over 18 years old), as well as their blend.

A true work of goldsmith, the result gave the "Zaya 12 Year Old Gran Reserva" rum its balance and unique character. "Red ochre" in colour, the nose is intense, heady somewhat, rich and complex. Spices dominate (cinnamon and vanilla), with notes of candied exotic fruits (banana and pineapple).

On the palate, the attack is frank, we find vanilla and candied banana, brown caramel gives amplitude.

The finish is quite long, subtly cocoa-like, with cinnamon and a slight woodiness. Like many traditional "out-of-age" rums , the aromatic richness is the centerpiece of this spirit. The vanilla and the sensation of sweetness will seduce the palate of the most demanding.

As an aperitif, at the end of a meal (dessert) or as a digestif, you will find pleasure in tasting this rum with friends.
