History of the Distillery

Originally made in Guatemala by Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala, creator of the famous Zacaparum, the Zaya 16-year-old Gran Reserva has crossed oceans to find a new home in Trinidad and Tobago, under the umbrella of Trinidad Distillers Ltd. This transition marks a new chapter in the history of the Zaya, enriching its tradition with renowned distilling techniques and an ideal ageing environment.

This exceptional rum, the Zaya 16 Year Old Gran Reserva, is the result of a rigorous selection of molasses rums, sublimated by a double distillation in a copper still.
