In line with the Wild Series, we have here a unique barrel, distilled in December 1989, matured in bourbon barrels for 32 years, at the distillery from 1989 to 2000 (11 years), then aging at Diamond Distillery to then join the European continent and more particularly Denmark where the Rom de Luxebrand sits.

Uitvlugt (pronounced "eye-flut") is a village in French Guiana, based on the west bank of the Demerara River, but the name is Dutch. In the seventeenth century, most sugar cane plantations produced their own rum. The Dutch distillery Uitvlugt was established around 1750, housing wooden stills that produced a very heavy style rum. However, in 1975, the government began privatizing sugar cane plantations and distilleries, merging them into a large distillery owned by the Guyana Liquor Corporation, which unfortunately led to the closure of Uitvglut in 2000.

In the depths of Denmark, an innovative trio birthed "Rom De Luxe", a daring bottler. In 2016, Claus Andersen, in collaboration with Thomas Nielsen and Lasse Bjørklund, embarked on this thrilling journey. But like all great tales, characters shift: today, Michael Ginnerup and Kim Pedersen have taken up the torch, replacing Thomas and Lasse.
