Original Royal Navy documents have confirmed that this rum was mostly imported from the West Indies in barrels of E.D&F Man&Co, official merchant of rums for the navy since 1784. The remaining stocks of rums were stored separately, and taken out only for official occasions or royal weddings. Bottled directly from these barrels, each bottle of Black Tot Last Consignement is a unique piece of history and a rare item for collectors. The bottle is beautifully presented and includes a rare wooden box, a Half Gill cup, a rum tasting booklet and a small leather book telling the story of Black Tot. Black Tot offers sweet aromas of vanilla and caramel that bring you to a rich peppery mouth with notes of brown sugar, candied fruit and exotic spices. Soft touches of smoke and earth appear on a dry and woody finish.
