Matugga Golden Rum
Artisanal distillation in Scotland
Made in a distillery founded by Paul and Jacine, Matugga - Golden Rum embodies the fusion of two cultures. Although sugar cane does not grow in Scotland, distillation and ageing are carried out with great mastery, bringing a singular touch to this amber rum.
Careful ageing
Matured for at least a year in barrels that have contained bourbon and cognac from Maison Martell, this rum develops a complexity while remaining accessible. Careful filtration gives it a lighter texture than its previous versions, while maintaining a beautiful aromatic intensity.
A refined aromatic profile
Its amber colour precedes a lively nose, marked by notes of candied fruit. On the palate, caramel mixes with spices, especially Sichuan pepper, bringing relief. The finish, long and balanced, reveals an elegant blend of vanilla and strawberry. Awarded 98 points and a medal of excellence at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2023, this rum testifies to exceptional know-how.
