A spiced rum of remarkable intensity
Inspired by the apothecaries' recipes of yesteryear, this rum is both explosive and balanced, skilfully combining sweetness and power. Its high degree is reminiscent of the traditions of the British Navy, where rum had to retain its ability to ignite gunpowder.
An intense aromatic profile
On the nose, spices dominate: cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg intertwine with notes of candied orange and a herbaceous touch reminiscent of a spicy infusion. With aeration, woody and roasted nuances appear, with touches of coffee, liquorice and dried fruit.
A palate that is both powerful and smooth
The attack on the palate combines the freshness of a cask raw rum with the roundness of cane syrup. The spicy flavours extend into a dry and persistent finish, marked by candied orange and a subtle bitterness.

Even before he obtained his title of "Professor", Cornelius Ableforth was already an innovator with a touch of madness. He dreamed of running a large laboratory filled with beakers, test tubes, plants and spirits. Thus, in the fall of 2011, his dreams came true with the release of his "Bathtub Gin". The tireless professor now continues to create everything he can imagine, whether it is a cold-distilled absinthe with an alcoholic strength of 91.2% or a gin aged in barrels and lately several rums, from heavy to navy through XO.
