R. St Barth

The French international footballer, Mikael Silvestre, is at the origin of the brand R St Barth. The authentic aromas, lush flavors, taste and sweet sweetness of life of the French Caribbean inspired him to create R St Barth.

Mikael Silvestre, Founder of Rhum R. St Barth but also French international footballer, finalist of the 2006 Football World Cup (France Team) says: "R. St Barth represents everything I love about the world of rum: the richness, diversity and opulence of the French Caribbean. As a child, during my holidays spent in the West Indies, I was usually given a sugar cane stick as a lollipop at snack time. I have always kept this taste in my memory: the indisputable fruity sweetness of sugar, the slightly liquorice and caramelized impression. As for this characteristic little hint of moisture, I had the feeling that it gave me a pleasant feeling of energizing freshness. Since then, in my memory, all the West Indies are concentrated in this little stick of cane. Over time, the palate and tastes are formed. So I learned to taste rum. But the ones I discovered often offered only one component of my memory: the warm notes that I compared to those of a sandy beach bathed in sunshine. The explosion of plant flavors that reminded me of the lush vegetation of the islands. Or the mineral tones of the stone scented by rainwater as soon as it has fallen. I wanted a style of rum that combines my olfactory childhood memories with those of the years spent with family in Saint Barth for more than ten years. It was a long time to make our three rums White, Amber and Out of Age. R. St Barth, a true agricultural rum, thus has, I believe, the authentic aromas, the lush flavors, the taste and the sweet sweetness of life of Saint Barth."
