Dalwhinnie

Located at 327m above sea level, Dalwhinnie is the tallest of all active distilleries in Scotland.

It is also where, in 1994, the lowest average temperature in the whole country was recorded: only 6 degrees! Becoming famous thanks to its inclusion in the range of Classic Malts, Dalwhinnie has suffered from the financial crisis in recent years and has just lost its place in the famous display along with Oban, Glenkinchie and Cragganmore. Sweet and honeyed with a characteristic and very dry finish, Dalwhinnie exists almost exclusively in official versions.
