Zuidam Distillers

Zuidam Distillers was founded in 1975 by Fred Van Zuidam. The idea was to set up a small distillery producing very exclusive products. He built a distillery of 300m2 with a small "cooper still" and a small production line.

After a long and difficult start, it took Fred Van Zuidam more than 10 years to build his reputation as the best distillery in the Netherlands. But it was only after his wife started creating the packaging for the distillery's products that business really took off. In 1989, Zuidam expanded their warehouse to 600m2 and added an additional production line. Nowadays, the two sons Patrick and Gilbert run the company: a state-of-the-art distillery of 3,600m2 with 4 new "cooper still", more than 1,000 oak barrels, 4 production lines and a modern storage tank.
