It was then loaded aboard the Tres Hombres into two barrels that contained PX, as was done more than a century ago. For four months, the rum sailed through Caribbean ports of call and around the Atlantic, which gave it a unique aromatic palette thanks to a dynamic ageing at sea. After nine months of rest and additional aging in our Saint-Etienne cellar, the rum is bottled raw from barrels at 64.9% alc.vol., without any reduction. Each bottle is labeled, numbered and waxed by hand, and sealed with a capstan knot in tribute to the sailors of the Tres Hombres. In total, there are 900 bottles of this exceptional rum.
