James arrived in Saint-Gervais five years ago and was warmly welcomed into the community. He is easily recognizable in town with his Scottish kilt. He always dreamed of creating a distillery. The mountains around Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc provide clean air and water, perfect for a distillery.

Mont Blanc Gin was designed with the help of Tom Nichol, a world-class distiller, who worked for 42 years at the Tanqueray distillery, one of the world's leading brands, produced by Diageo plc with global sales of around 18 million bottles. Tom is one of only two people to have received an honorary award from the Gin Guild.

Mont Blanc gin, created by Tom Nichol and James Abbott, has an alcohol content of 43.6%. It's a small celebration of their friendship, because at the time, James was 43 and Tom was 63.
