Mater Gin de la Distilleria Alma is a vibrant tribute to the nature and culture of southeastern Sicily. Produced from local botanicals such as Italian juniper, Siracusa PGI citrus and Modicana mandorla, this gin stands out for its purity and Mediterranean character. Sugarcane honey produced on site adds a touch of subtle sweetness.
An artisanal process and slow distillation
Distilled using the London Dry Gin method, Mater Gin benefits from a slow batch distillation in a copper still, in a bain-marie, for a delicate extraction of aromas. The botanicals macerate for 12 hours, revealing intense and varied nuances.
A tasting between freshness and complexity
At 43%, the Mater Gin reveals a clean and complex aromatic profile: notes of juniper, lemon and orange mingle with touches of herbs such as thyme and ginestra, with a mineral and iodine finish.
