Of incredible complexity, this 21-year-old Demerara Vintage 1986 Silver Seal can only make us regret the closure in 1993 of the Enmore distillery, located in British Guiana (Guyana). Fortunately, the two wooden distillation columns were transferred to the Diamond distillery at the time.

Our tasting notes for Vintage 1986 - Enmore - 21 years

Nose : ample, fin. D’une luxuriance hors du commun, le premier nez embaume la résine de pin, les épices (badiane), les fruits mûrs (pêche, abricot) et la réglisse noire.

Palate : ferme, droite. Très différente du nez, oublié le registre miellé et juteux du nez. Les fruits se sont déshydratés pour devenir confits et secs (noix, amande, abricot).

Finish : longue, complexe. Elle s’ouvre sur des notes de fruits rouges (fraise, framboise), de café et de mélasse. Le paysage qu’elle suggère est beaucoup plus verdoyant que celui de la bouche.
