The Single malt Tomatin 10 years Rum Cask Finish is first aged in traditional oak barrels for 9 years and then matured for 1 year in ex-rum barrels. This finish gives this whisky warm flavors of tropical fruits.
Rounded by this finish in ex-rum barrels, the finish is soft and persistent.

Our tasting notes for

Officially, the Tomatin distillery was founded in 1897 in Inverness-shire, in the heart of the Highlands, by John MacDougall, John MacLeish and Alexander Allan. That said, everything suggests that distillation began clandestinely as early as the 15th century. If it has long produced malts that were used in the blend of famous blends such as J&B, Chivas Regal or Johnnie Walker, for several decades, Tomatin has been dedicated to the development of its own single malts. Whiskies very appreciated by amateurs.
