History and development

From the New Grovedistillery, founded in Mauritius, this 2004 vintage marks the beginning of a new era for the house. Made from molasses and distilled in columns, it has been aged for 21 years in a subtle combination of Limousin oak barrels and old cognac barrels. Bottled at 50% vol., it reflects the precision and mastery of tropical ageing specific to the brand.

Flavour profile

On the nose, it reveals aromas of caramelized sugar, fresh molasses, yellow fruits, sweet spices and noble wood. On the palate, notes of citrus zest, yellow peach, fresh apricot and plum mingle with a touch of warm spices. The finish, enveloping and persistent, reveals a subtle minty freshness.
