Beautiful dark and deep color. Intense nose even powerful but very exotic on Bourbon vanilla and peanuts first. Then notes of black pepper, nutmeg and precious woods. The palate is smooth and intense with a nice balance with notes of malt and toasted nuts. Then it is rich and unctuous. The finish is ample on notes of refined and fresh woody notes.

Concerning the blend of this rum: Bottled without cold filtration or coloring. Aged for one year in South African Port barrels, from the second to the fourth year in new bourbon barrels. Then a fifth year in first-hand bourbon barrels. Finally, blending with one-year-old "Gold of Mauritius".
