A meeting between two continents: Equiano 2010 Ominira

The result of an unprecedented collaboration between Foursquare Distillery in Barbados and Gray's Distillery in Mauritius, Equiano 2010 Ominira is a singular rum that perfectly embodies the idea of freedom, as its name in Yoruba suggests. This first edition of the LEGACY BLEND series represents the harmonious union of African and Caribbean terroirs. Aged for 11 years in the tropical climate, this rum has been matured in barrels that have contained bourbon, cognac and sherry, which gives it great aromatic complexity. Its nose is marked by aromas of ripe banana, molasses and vanilla, enhanced by subtle spicy and woody touches. On the palate, the Ominira Equiano reveals a gourmet profile: notes of dark chocolate and caramel mingle with fruity and spicy flavors, underlined by nuances of cinnamon and nuts.
