History

Driven by high standards and authenticity, the Opportune 1791 house signs blends that bring together the great Caribbean traditions of rum. This approach highlights the dialogue between artisanal distillation and island terroirs, in the service of a precise and elegant spirit.

Presentation of this blend of rums

This cuvée brings together a white rum "pure cane juice" from the French West Indies distilled in column, and two molasses rums from Barbados : a white distilled in column and a distillate from a double distillation still + column, aged 3 years old and aged in American Ex-Bourbon oak barrels. The blend reveals the alliance of the French and English schools: precision of the cane juice, richness of Barbadian rums, balance and length. Tasting notes

Appearance: very light, clear straw. Nose: sweet and warm, dried banana, vanilla, caramel, fresh cane, lemon, pepper, liquorice and leather, with expressive bourbon oak. Palate: suave and lively attack, butter caramel and vanilla, spicy hint, mellow on cane sugar, light and woody finish, nice balance between the two styles.
