A testimony to the history of rum in France

The Caravella brand was born in 1931 under the impetus of Henri Pic, who marketed it with the slogan "Sunshine in a glass". Available in white bunches, coloured rum and authentic old rum, the brand has enjoyed some success in mainland France. After the Second World War, Casanis, a Corsican house specialising in wines and spirits, took over the brand when it set up shop in the Bercy warehouses in Paris.

A Caribbean time capsule

This one-liter bottle, probably bottled in the late 1970s or early 1980s, is a true collector's item. Its contents offer a glimpse of the Caribbean rum blends as they were practiced at the time: round, slightly oaky and fragrant profiles, testifying to a bygone era of the French rum trade. A rare piece for lovers of history and spirits heritage.
