This Plantation Single Cask rum, distilled at Rum & Co. (formerly South Pacific Distillery) is a limited edition Haute Couture rum. After a first aging in Bourbon barrels in Fiji, the rum joined Château de Bonbonnet in France, for a finish in Kilchoman peated whisky barrels for 6 months.

This is this unique barrel, a real favorite for the team of enthusiasts that we are within Excellence Rhum. We tasted it and selected it by us in the cellars of the Château de Bonbonnet during our trip at the beginning of 2020.
Thus, each Plantation Single Cask has a unique aging, and each bottle is numbered. Only a few barrels of these rums are bottled each year, making these expressions real collector's items. Limited edition of 144 bottles including 42 bottles numbered for Excellence Rhum. It is a rum distilled in column and pot still developing after aging 113 gr / hlaap (hectoliter of pure alcohol) of esters and 478 gr / hlaap of volatile substance content, or "Non-Alcoholic Content" (TNA).

The house of Cognac, Cognac Ferrand is at the origin of this fascinating brand that is Plantation Rum. Maison Ferrand originally maintained privileged relationships with the best distilleries in the Caribbean to which it sells barrels that have contained its Cognac. The barrels of the Ferrand house are very popular with some rum producers who use them to refine their product. During these exchanges, Alexandre Gabriel had the opportunity to discover very old batches with an aromatic richness and a diversity of extraordinary aromas.
