Presentation of this Transcontinental Guatemala

From the Transcontinental Rum Line range, this 2008 vintage Guatemalan rum was distilled locally before being aged twice: 4 years in a tropical climate in Guatemala, then 10 years in Europe, all in bourbon barrels. Bottled in 2022 at a rate of 57.6%, this single cask (GT08SFGD1) perfectly illustrates the search for balance between intensity and finesse, characteristic of the TCRL range, designed to restore the richness of the world's rum terroirs.

Tasting notes

The nose is distinguished by a floral and fruity complexity: lychee, ripe banana, coconut powder, lilac and citrus. On the palate, the texture is ample, with notes of mango, dark chocolate, precious woods, raisins and plum jam. The finish is long, marked by a controlled bitterness: dried hazelnut, Earl Grey tea, black olive, vanilla cream and sumac.
