A historic rum by Enmore

Closed in 1995, the Enmore Distillery is a heritage monument in the Demerara region. This rum comes from the Versailles wooden still , famous for its complex and deep profiles. The mark KFM (Main Enmore KFM) refers to Kenneth Francis McKenzie, an emblematic figure of the Lusignan plantation, where the cane used for this rum was grown.

An exceptional aromatic richness

The nose reveals a remarkable concentration, typical of a very long maturation: cherry stones, cocoa, prunes and melted tannins enriched with molasses. After aeration, coppery and warm notes mingle with those of toasted oak, offering a profile that is both dry and elegant. On the palate, the balance between sweetness and astringency is surprising. Aromas of roasted nuts, charcoal, black coffee and cherries in brandy combine with a marked bitterness, enhanced by nuances of molasses and black fruits. The finish, dry and intense, prolongs the experience with subtly persistent tannins.
