It is an equal part blend of rum from a single barrel of Clarendon from 1997 with the same volume from a barrel of Caroni from 1997. These two barrels have each matured for over 20 years in tropical conditions, and the resulting 25-year-old blend has been reduced to a few degrees to be bottled to 60% in the beautiful hand-blown glass we use for these very occasional special editions. Only 95 bottles of this crazy mix were made – and now only 94 remain because Angus has already started one.

We decided to make this rather crazy blend because the extreme power of each distinctive profile combines with the intense characteristic of shared prolonged tropical maturation to create a highly distinctive and wonderfully complex profile that vacillates between the Jamaican and Trinidadian personalities, while expressing that depth and intensity of the sticky creaminess of concentration in hot climates!
