Sugar cane migrated from the Far East to Europe, via the islands of Reunion and Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Savanna already has a well-established reputation with its Bois Rouge sugar factory and its distillery. It is unique thanks to its different styles of rums, made of juice or molasses but also of the old Grand Arôme style, similar to Jamaican rums "dunderized", producing rums with higher esters. This Indian Ocean Stills from Savanna is an agricultural rum, distilled in a single column in 2012 and aged for 6 years in Reunion Island in a tropical climate and bottled in 61% cask strength .

Nose : Voluptueuse et puissante. Fruits confits, rancio, coings, finement chocolatée.

Palate : Douce et persistante. Fruits exotiques (banane flambée, ananas cuit, …), vanillée et paind’épices.
