The distillery Savanna makes almost every type of rum, including a Grand Arôme, which is their best bet for extreme rum. The Saint-André distillery makes this rum by letting the molasses ferment for nearly 15 days. This extremely long fermentation gives a very tasty and aromatic rum.

The distillery has decided that the ester number must be at least 500 g/hL AA. The rum is distilled in Savalle copper column. After distillation, it was aged in American white oak barrels previously used for red wine and entirely in the European climate.

In 2016, Claus Andersen, in collaboration with Thomas Nielsen and Lasse Bjørklund, embarked on this thrilling journey. But like all great tales, characters shift: today, Michael Ginnerup and Kim Pedersen have taken up the torch, replacing Thomas and Lasse.
