Mhoba 2017 is the result of the partnership between Luca Gargano, president of Velier , and Robert Greaves, the founder of Mhoba. From the beginning of the Mhoba project, they shared a common vision. The Mhoba rums are produced from the Nkomazi variety of sugar cane grown on the farm adjacent to the distillery.

The sugar cane is cut by hand and pressed by a mill developed in-house. The cane juice is fermented in part by local baker's yeast as well as wild yeasts. Distillation with a medium pot still designed by Robert Greaves. The particularity of this still is to promote a maximum of reflux in order to develop heavy and particularly aromatic rums. Mhoba 2017 aged 4 years in ex-bourbon barrels at the distillery, South Africa with an angel share of more than 22%. Bottled, without reduction, at 64.6%, it has a congener rate of 571.3 gr/HLAP including 246.1 gr/HLAP.

In 1983, when he was only 25 years old, Luca Gargano joined the Velier house and made it one of the jewels of the import of exceptional spirits in Italy. 2015 is the year of the creation of theHabitation Velier, the bottles are refined to bring out the crucial information that makes up a rum. It should be noted that all the cuvées of theHabitation Velier, are reputed to be without added sugar, coloring, or flavors.
