Black Tot Last Consignment
The Royal Navy's latest rum
Black Tot Last Consignment is one of the most historic rums in the world. On 31 July 1970, nicknamed "Black Tot Day", the Royal Navy put an end to the centuries-old tradition of distributing a daily ration of rum to its sailors. This rum comes from the last naval reserves, a blend of Caribbean rums (Trinidad, Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica) kept in the navy's warehouses.
History in the glass
The nose is monumental: ancient candied fruit, leather, molasses, spices, rancio and patinated wood. The palate is extraordinarily dense , with flavours of ancient caramel, liquorice, tobacco, dark chocolate and dried fruit. The final is endless. Much more than a rum, it is a historical artifact of the British Navy. Each sip contains centuries of naval tradition.
British Royal Naval
This brand carefully follows a 300-year-old recipe. This recipe is that of the British Royal Naval, which ended on July 31, 1970 when the last ration of rum took off on the ships of the British Navy.
