Arran

Arran is the only whisky distillery located on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. Based in Lochranza, it was founded in 1995. Arran has a long history in the whisky world.

In the mid-eighteenth century there were nearly fifty distilleries on the island (most of them clandestine), but they have all since closed. The creation of the new distillery in 1995 therefore renewed the tradition on Arran. The eau-de-vie produced there received the name "whisky" in 1998.
