Controlled ageing for an exceptional rum

Produced by Oliver y Oliver in the Dominican Republic, Opthimus 25 years old is distilled in a column from molasses rich in sugar. It first rests in bourbon barrels for 25 years according to the solera method, before spending a few months in single malt whisky casks, enriching its profile with elegant and complex nuances.

A sophisticated flavour profile

On the nose, this rum reveals a beautiful complexity with notes of nuts, caramel and vanilla, sublimated by subtle touches of leather, toasted wood and tobacco. Aeration reveals even more depth, with delicate aromas of nuts, coconut and spices.

On the palate, the texture is round and enveloping, marked by a greedy woodiness where oak impregnated with cane syrup, melting caramel and liquorice are mixed. Nuances of cherry and coconut complete this refined aromatic palette.

The long and persistent finish extends this experience with woody, caramelized and slightly sweet notes, leaving a delicate and harmonious imprint.
