History & Origin

Under the Italian label Silver Seal, Massimo Righi (Whisky Antique) selects sought-after batches of rum and single cask. This cuvée comes from the double wooden still of the Port Mourant distillery—closed in 1955—whose equipment was transferred to Diamond in 1999, in Guyana.

Made from molasses and distilled in a double pot still in Port Mourant wood, this 2002 vintage has been completely aged in a tropical climate in Guyana. Offered at 55.8%, in 70 cl format, it is a Single Cask #10 limited to 190 bottles—a sharp choice for lovers of Demerara rum, craft distillery and barrel aging.

Tasting notes

The palette, crossed by suave sequences, ventures towards a herbaceous register reminiscent of certain white alcohols, highlighting a clear freshness and an original personality. The whole remains precise, expressive and persistent, ideal for a careful tasting or a Demerara collection .
