The rarest wooden still in the world

The Versailles still, installed at the Diamond Distillery in Guyana, is a double-twisted unit made entirely of wood — the last of its kind in operation in the world. Its distillates, identified by the VSG code, are among the most sought after by connoisseurs. Rum Nation, founded in 1999 by Italian Fabio Rossi, selected this exceptional cask distilled in 1990, aged for 30 years and then refined in hogshead sherry.

Marzipan, grapefruit and minerality

The nose unfolds aromas of marzipan, candied grapefruit and liquorice, supported by a mineral framework characteristic of Versailles. The palate is powerful and textured at 56.8%, revealing notes of dried fruit, incense and precious woods. The finish, endless, oscillates between sweetness and noble bitterness. A monument of the Guyanese spirits heritage, to be enjoyed with the greatest respect.
