TEEDA comes from a unique distillation of cane sugar molasses. Sugar cane is grown locally and planted between February and May. Harvesting is both mechanical and manual from October to February.

TEEDA Gold-Rum is aged under white oak wood, for at least 5 years, using both new and used rum barrels. The final assembly is done with both young (5 years) and old (15 years) rums.

Helios distillery

Mr. Tadashi Matsuda established his rumerie in Okinawa in 1961. The production mainly met a high demand from U.S. military personnel based on the island at that time.
