The history of the J. Bally vintage 1950 has its roots in the early twentieth century, when Jacques Bally bought the Habitation Lajus in 1917. Driven by a revolutionary vision, he transformed this former sugar factory into a state-of-the-art distillery. By introducing a steam engine and a Creole column of his design, Jacques Bally opened a new chapter in the history of rum, marking the beginning of the production of vintage rums as early as 1924. This 1950 vintage, bottled in the early 90s, is the perfect expression of this rich history.
