Trois Rivières Old Rum of the Ocean

The Trois Rivières - Rhum Vieux de l'Océan is a daring cuvée that highlights the maritime influence on Martinique rum. Produced by the Plantation Trois Rivières, this agricultural rum is part of the Les Éditions du Bar collection, intended for bartenders and lovers of original creations. Careful ageing for refined complexity

This rum has been aged in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, developing a deep aromatic richness. This maturation, combined with the particular reduction, creates a subtle balance between roundness, freshness and minerality. Its slightly saline character makes it an excellent ally for sophisticated cocktails, especially in association with Sherry or Madeira wine.

A unique flavour profile

On the nose, it reveals a very ripe, almost honeyed cane, enveloped in a humid tropical atmosphere. With aeration, sun-drenched fruit and delicate tannins enrich the palette, with a subtle peppery touch. On the palate, the cane expresses itself in a more lively and toasted register, enhanced by a saline touch that reinforces its greedy character. The finish is round and spicy, with notes of candied cane and toasted wood that prolong the pleasure of tasting.

Our tasting notes for Old Rum of the Ocean
