Carefully selected by Anto & Juju of "The Old Brothers " and Alexandre Beudet of "Excellence Rhum", this 21-year-old rum is distilled and aged for a long time at the J.M distillery, located in the north of Martinique and at the foot of Mount Pelée.

Our tasting notes for Vintage 1999 21 years Brut de barrel Single Cask

Nose : La confusion est possible avec un spiritueux du sud ouest: Armagnac, Cognac, raisin blond gorgé d’eau de vie, ananas confit. Une belle opulence. Évolue sur la marmelade d’orange, avec une pointe cannelle et le coté végétal de la cardamome.

Palate : C’est une caresse, sans aucune emprise de l’alcool. La confusion avec un vieil armagnac noble reste possible. Puis l’évolution sur les fruits exotiques séchés lève le doute: Papaye, ananas, kiwi, banane.

Finish : Elle s’éteint sur le bois précieux, les épices douces et la fine amertume de la peau d’orange.

Located in the north of the island of Martinique and at the foot of Mount Pelée, the Rhumerie J.M distills and raises old J.M. rums. It was in 1914 that Jean-Marie Martin, who gave his name to JM rums, sold the property to Gustave Crassous de Médeuil.
