The bottle is emblematic of the distillery, by its leather label, testifying to a long aging of the rum in barrels for 15 years, but also by its shape and the emblem of the distillery molded in the glass. A wax is delicately placed on the neck of the bottle, a sign of the authenticity of the Macoumba distillery. This 2003 vintage will delight your taste buds but also your eyes thanks to the precious wood box.

Our tasting notes for Vintage 2003 15 years Brut de barrel

Nose : Séduisant et intense sur les fruits confits, les pâtes de fruits et la figue séchée. A l’aération, il dévoile de sublimes et délicates notes de gousses de vanille fraichement fendues et de noisettes torréfiées.

Palate : Gourmande que son nez. Elle se veut ronde et onctueuse sur la noisette torréfiée, la vanille et les fruits confiturés. Des notes de pruneaux, cacao et tabac blond viennent agrémenter le tout afin d’agrémenter ce rhum hors d’âge d’une volupté sublime.

Finish : La finale est chaude sur les notes de tabac blond et de fruits confits.

Rhum J.M

Located in the north of the island of Martinique and at the foot of Mount Pelée, the Rhumerie J.M distills and raises old J.M. rums. It was in 1914 that Jean-Marie Martin, who gave his name to JM rums, sold the property to Gustave Crassous de Médeuil.
