Ageing and controlled power

Le Rum Nation - Mauritius 8 Year Old Cask Strength first rested for 5 years in bourbon barrels, before maturing for another 40 months in first-fill barrels. This process gives the rum remarkable depth and a balanced structure. On tasting, the notes of ripe banana, lime and sweet spices are expressed with intensity, supported by a controlled warmth and a beautiful length in the mouth.
