Bougainville Decanter Hors d'âge 8 years
Controlled ageing for incomparable richness
This outdated rum is the result of a meticulous manufacturing process. Its fermentation, carried out between 18 and 24°C for 10 to 14 days, allows it to develop a unique aromatic depth. Distilled in 400-litre hybrid stills, it is then reduced to 70% ABV before starting an ageing of at least 8 years in oak barrels that have contained sherry, giving this spirit a remarkable richness and complexity.
A sophisticated flavour profile
The nose opens with bewitching aromas of caramel, salted butter and vanilla. On the palate, deep notes of nuts, coffee and spices intertwine harmoniously, evolving towards a finish of great elegance. A refined rum that will appeal to lovers of authentic spirits.

The Oxenham Craft Distillery is the newest and smallest distillery in Mauritius, located at the headquarters of the parent company in the Phenix region, in the center of the island.
It is the only distillery in Mauritius to make molasses rums in still.
