Louis & Charles from Maison Isautier, distilled in 2004, is more than a rum, it's a work of art. This exquisite blend of traditional old rum and agricultural rum, both 15 years old, is aged in French ex-Cognac oak barrels. The nose immediately seduces with sweet, menthol, woody and spicy aromas, complemented by notes of waxed wood. On the palate, it is supple and delicate, revealing fruity, sweet, woody and refreshing flavours. The finish is long, with hints of strong coffee. This rum, limited to 1483 bottles, is a tribute to the founders of the House, the brothers Louis and Charles Isautier, pioneers of Reunion Island.
