The first cuvée in this series, Admiral Rodney Officer's Releases N°1 is a reflection of the tradition of Saint Lucian rums. This limited edition is expertly distilled and then matured by St Lucia Distillers' master blender in the island's hot and humid tropical climate.

Admiral Rodney Officer's Releases No. 1 is made from distillates extracted from the lowest trays of the distillery's only "Coffey Still" distilling column, which consists of a total of 45 trays. This allows a better balance of aromas which will then intensify and become more complex during aging.

The rum was aged in 2006 in American oak barrels that had previously contained Bourbon for a period of 13 years followed by finishing in ex-Port barrels for 9 months.

Our tasting notes for Officer's Releases N°1

Nose : Le nez s’exprime sur un riche bouquet exotique de raisins doux, raisins secs, vanille épicée et chêne toasté.

Palate : La bouche est initialement intense sur les arômes de fruits confiturés, de chocolat, de réglisse et de tabac avant de se prolonger sur des notes boisées préalablement perçues au nez.

Finish : La finale complexe et longue s’épanouit avec finesse sur les fruits confits et les épices.
