This blend brings together five single malts, four of which are very peated from the most famous distilleries on the island of Islay. The fifth malt, unpeated, aged in first-fill sherry casks, brings a fruity structure and a particular roundness. On the nose, this whisky is rich and unctuous, revealing peaty, chocolatey, honeyed and spicy notes with accents of hydrocarbons. On the palate, the attack is lively and malty, evolving towards an iodized and explosive peat with touches of spices, liquorice and candied fruit. The mid-palate is distinguished by medicinal and herbaceous flavors, while the sherry cask adds a delicacy of dried fruit.
