William Hinton

It was in 1845 that William Hinton founded the only distillery on the island of Madeira. But production eventually stops over time. It finally resumed with the opening of the Engenho Novo da Madeira (ENM) distillery by one of the descendants of William Hinton.

His objective is to restore to the production of rums originating in Madeira, all its glory using the traditional methods inherited from his ancestors.
