The Captain's Choice refers to a special edition in limited quantities. It is, in essence, the most prestigious rum that only the captain is able to select. Obviously, what sets this rum apart from other bottles is not limited to its unbottled status. But, of course, the captain keeps some mysteries to himself...!

About This Barbadian Rum

Distilled in a still from molasses at Barbados' Foursquare Distillery, this rum was kept in bourbon barrels until January 2022, when the ship Tres Hombres dropped anchor in the port of Bridgetown.

When the boat docked in Bridgetown, it was decided to select this 2006 vintage rum, which seems far more mature than its label might suggest. At Foursquare, the rum was transferred from bourbon barrels to an old Oloroso barrel before being loaded onto the Tres Hombres. This ancestral tradition has been carried on with fervour for more than a decade.

This elite rum gained a distinctive touch of Tres Hombres after four months of traveling through the Caribbean before returning to Amsterdam. Its fermentation took place organically, thanks to the addition of Caribbean yeasts, thus offering a singular nuance to its aromatic profile.

The visual look of this exceptional bottle was imagined by a sailor from the crew. The elegant artwork evokes the majestic bow of the Tres Hombres.

The rums TRES HOMBRES are transported from the Caribbean by the schooner of the same name, bottled in Amsterdam by the company Fairtransport of which les frères de la côte are representative in France.
