Aged for 8 years in American oak barrels and transported by sail on the brigantine Tres Hombres across the Atlantic to Amsterdam to be bottled. The barrels that brought this rum from Douarnenez contained organic white wine from the Loire that was delivered to Barbados. This ancestral process gives the old Bayan rum a spicy and unique character like the island itself...
