After a first aging in Bourbon barrels at the distillery for 19 years, the rum joined the Château de Bonbonnet in France, for a second aging in Borderies X.O cognac barrels of Maison Ferrand for 1 year and finally a finish (ripening) in peated Rozelieure barrels for 4 months.

Rozelieures is one of the only distilleries in the world to master all stages of production in ownership. From barley cultivation to bottling, our whiskies are made in Lorraine.
Thus, each Plantation Single Cask has a unique aging, and each bottle is numbered, the barrels are distinct and the degree differs from one barrel to another. Only a few barrels of these rums are bottled each year, making these expressions real collector's items. 60 bottles for Excellence Rhum.

Plantation Rum

The house of Cognac, Cognac Ferrand is at the origin of this fascinating brand that is Plantation Rum. Maison Ferrand originally maintained privileged relationships with the best distilleries in the Caribbean to which it sells barrels that have contained its Cognac. The barrels of the Ferrand house are very popular with some rum producers who use them to refine their product. During these exchanges, Alexandre Gabriel had the opportunity to discover very old batches with an aromatic richness and a diversity of extraordinary aromas.
