Aikan Fine Rhum Barrels
We once again have the opportunity to witness such a spectacle with the "Fine Rhum Barrels" cuvée. This blend is distilled and aged in Scotland, then matured in agricultural rum barrels. These French oak wood barrels are made by reputable French cooperages in this field.
Our tasting notes for Fine Rhum Barrels
Nose : riche et gourmand, il s’ouvre sur des notes boisées et épicées comme unrhum vieux, sur le cacao, la pâte d’amande, la cannelle, la muscade, la vanille, lanoix de coco, le pruneau et des agrumes
Palate : grasse et dynamique à la fois, elle reprend les notes fruitées du nez avec des accents encore plus gourmands sur la mangue, la brioche, pâte à tartiner, l'amande amère, le miel et la tapenade d'olives noires et vertes.
Finish : Longue et suave, avec des notes de petites cerises, de vanille, d'épices douces et de fruits tropicaux très mûrs.
Aikan
Aikan means "marriage" in Arawak, the language of the first Amerindians who populated Martinique. Whisky Aikan bears this name because it is the result of a unique marriage between two continents, two climates (temperate in Europe, tropical in the Caribbean), and two exceptional universes, those of Rum and Whisky. This union gives Aikan its subtle and singular character.
