Renegade Rum Hope Pot Still
On the south-eastern flank of the island, sheltered from the Atlantic trade winds and protected by a narrow belt of mangroves, lies this particular terroir.
The iron-red clay, rich soil and cool water table ensure a humid microclimate with lush sugarcane during the driest season. For this rum, we harvested the oldest of our varieties, cain, in the field of mamo, on the terroir known as Boulders.
