An ode to the Guadeloupean terroir: Papa Rouyo Rhum Agricole Vieux 2021

The Papa Rouyo Rhum Agricole Vieux 2021 is a celebration of the terroir and agricultural traditions of Guadeloupe. The R579 red cane is fermented for 40 hours in stainless steel vats with selected yeasts, before a double distillation in a pot still combining stainless steel and copper. Its aging in fine-grained American oak barrels and medium toast gives this rum a perfect balance between power and elegance. Each stage of production reflects a deep respect for people and local know-how.

An inspiring collaboration

Morgan Ricci shares the story of this rum: a memorable encounter with passionate craftsmen from the Papa Rouyo distillery. During a tasting alongside Xavier Piron and Joris Galli, cask number 62 immediately won over the group, evoking childhood memories with its aromas of egg cream and brown sugar. A favorite selection that reflects the soul of this collaboration.
