History of the house

Based in Guadeloupe, the Karukera house promotes agricultural rums rooted in the authenticity of the terroirs. This cuvée focuses on cane from vertisol soils, a reflection of a rare natural heritage that shapes the identity of Caribbean spirits.

Presentation of Vertisol 50% rum

A column-distilled agricultural white rum , Vertisols 50° comes from cane grown on clay soils born from an ancient coral massif, present in particular in the north of Grande-Terre and Marie-Galante. This geology favours a healthy raw material, a guarantee of a precise profile. With an alcohol content of 50%, the 1 L format is suitable for rum lovers and cocktail bars.

Tasting notes and service

Crystalline colour, soft and easy to access, with a fine aromatic palette respecting the fresh cane. Perfect as a ti'punch or a long drink, this Guadeloupe rum can be easily integrated into cocktail recipes, while promoting the notion of terroir and artisanal distillery.

The particularity of Karukera rum is that it is made only from blue cane. Blue cane or B69.566 is a variety of sugar cane (native to Barbados).
